ONS Limited – Invited guests of Microsoft Ireland at the MICROSOFT WORLD WIDE PARTNER CONFERENCE 2008

O’Connor Network Services Limited (ONS) a local IT hardware and services company recently re-located to O’Briens Bridge, County Clare were honoured to be the invited guests of Microsoft Ireland the MICROSOFT WORLD WIDE PARTNER CONFERENCE 2008 (WPC) that took place in Houston Texas in July. (There were over 65 Irish delegates, 8 of those were invited guests to the Partner Executive Summit)

Over the last number of years ONS has been at the cutting edge of local , and practical IT services and solutions. However in more recent times, we have helped some of our customers  with a cost effective and practical solution to remote access. Practically this means allowing individuals to work on company server systems from home  or even different countries.

 

ONS were chosen by Microsoft Ireland in part because of their technical ability and their ability to apply Microsoft technologies on a local level.

Microsoft announced many new innovations at the WPC this year. Two of the most important were “Unified Communications” and “Software plus Services”. Both of these innovations are emerging systems and ONS as a partner with Microsoft and its strategic alliances with other software, hardware and services companies (in Ireland, UK and USA) are in a position to provide its customers with cutting edge advice and solutions.

Paul O’Connor (Managing Director) started ONS Limited in September 2000. At that time ONS were one of only 3 companies that DELL worked closely with as an “unofficial partner” which meant that customers of ONS Limited who purchased DELL business equipment got a preferential rate for any hardware purchased. Since February 2008, DELL have formalised this arrangement with ONS and other IT companies with ONS being the first company to be given Partner Status in the south west.
